Three quotes that, for years and years, have served me well. Three quotes that, at this point in time, could be life-savers for all of us as we begin to face up to the ‘New Normal’ world that Covid-19 and its varriants are creating for us.

In my early 20s, I decided to spend my last few dollars on an airplane ticket to Egypt. My wife and my family thought this was a bad idea, since I’d be penniless when I landed. I’d have no place to sleep, no way to earn a living, and no one to turn to for help.

In my mind’s eye, what I saw was the fact that this airplane ticket would take me to Egypt. I’d actually be there. In a place I’d always wanted to experience. It’s history, it’s mysteries, it’s romance.

So, I bought the ticket and went. It was at the beginning of an adventure that lasted for years. It was the first time that my ability to step out and take a risk served me well.
